At Messy Church in March we looked at the brilliant story of "Jonah" who got swallowed by a big fish. We arrived to some great food and the opportunity to throw various items into the big fish's mouth. Sue told us the very amusing story of "Jonah" and how he ended up inside the fish which made us all laugh. We then made some exciting crafts including origami whales and paper plate blow out whales. Here we were able to think about the fact that we can never run away from God and we certainly can't hide from Him, he always knows where we are. We also made Soda bottle whales and were reminded that we do sometimes get it wrong, but if we ask God to forgive us, he will and he allows us to start all over again and will help us get things right. Finally, we made vegetable boats to remind us we need to go the way God wants, not the way we want. After completing the crafts we played a fun game of sharks with the parachute before calming down and saying some prayers together. We all had the opportunity to write our prayers on a fish before offering them all over to God. Thank you to all who came along to March Messy Church and thank you to all those who helped make it a success.
